Privacy Policy

Vital Tracker Care helps caregivers record and track a patient's blood pressure and glucose. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, who it is shared with, and how you can access or delete it.
Who we are
Vital Tracker Care (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us any time at tek@kdc.co.
Data we handle, and why
| Data | Source | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Health information — blood-pressure and glucose readings, body measurements, patient profile (name, gender, date of birth, photo), notes | You enter it | To provide the app's core tracking, history and export features | On your device. Backed up to your private cloud account only if you sign in and enable backup — encrypted before it leaves the phone. |
| Account information — your name and email address | Your Google, Apple or email sign-in | To back up and restore your records across devices and to manage your “remove ads” subscription | Google Firebase Authentication. Only if you choose to sign in. |
| Photos — a photo of a meter screen (OCR) and an optional patient profile photo | Your camera / photo picker | The meter photo is read to fill in the numbers for you; the profile photo personalises the record | Profile photos stay on your device. A meter photo is sent to Google's Gemini API to read the numbers only if you enable the OCR feature with your own key; it is not stored by us. |
| Advertising ID and ad-interaction data | Google AdMob (in the free version) | To show ads that keep the app free, and to measure and limit them | Handled by Google AdMob. Collected only for users who have not removed ads; personalised ads are shown only where you have consented (see below). |
| Purchase token | Google Play Billing | To verify and restore your “remove ads” subscription | Google Play; a verification record is stored in your private cloud account. |
| Diagnostics — crash and basic performance data | Automatically | To keep the app stable and fix problems | Google services. |
How your data is stored and protected
- Health records are stored in a local database on your device.
- If you sign in and turn on backup, your health records are encrypted on your device with AES-256 before upload and stored under your account in Google Firebase. The keys are derived from your account, so only you can decrypt them.
- All data sent over the network is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- An optional PIN lock adds an extra layer on the app itself.
Ads and your consent
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are shown a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalised ads are requested, and you can change your choice any time from Settings → Ad privacy options. Removing ads with a subscription stops ad requests entirely. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share your health records with advertisers. We use the following service providers to run the app:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, encrypted backup and subscription verification (privacy).
- Google AdMob — ads in the free version (how AdMob uses data).
- Google Play Billing — subscription payments (handled by Google; we never see your card details).
- Google Gemini API — only if you enable OCR with your own key, to read numbers from a meter photo.
Retention and deletion
- Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Cloud backup data stays until you delete your account.
- You can export everything at any time from Settings → Privacy → Export all data, and wipe on-device data from Settings → Privacy → Clear all data.
- To delete your account and cloud data, follow the steps on our Delete account page. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Children
Vital Tracker Care is intended for adult caregivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
You can access, export and delete your data as described above. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to correct your data or object to certain processing. To make a request, email tek@kdc.co.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
